Pierre François has played extensively throughout North America as well as being a regular on the Montreal jazz scene. He holds a Masters degree in jazz performance from McGill University, and studied with jazz great Gary Burton at Berklee School of Music in Boston, as well as pianists Fred Hersh, Kenny Werner and Kevin Hays in New York City. In addition to being an active pianist in the Montreal area, Pierre has taught jazz piano and jazz arranging at CEGEP St-Laurent since 2006.
